City Faces in Different Places

By Julie Perine on April 04, 2021 from City Faces

Today's Bridgeport City Face is deeply routed in our community and its operation. Meet Patrick Jeffers.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? If not a lifelong resident, tell me what brought you here. I am a lifelong Resident

Tell me about your family.  Missy Jeffers (Married 24 years), Abby (Freshman at WVU School of Nursing), Hannah (Freshman at BHS)

What about pets? No Pets.

Where do you work and what do you do there? I'm Executive Territory Business Manager for Bristol-Myers Squibb, pharmaceutical sales.

What are your hobbies/favorite past times? Time with my family, hunting, and fishing (Picked up Fly Fishing during the pandemic and I am addicted. Whenever I can, I run to the mountains)

Favorite Bridgeport spot? BHS Football field. We've made so many cherished memories there over the years, and now I get to make more memories watching my daughter Hannah play soccer for the BHS Girls Soccer team.

What do you like about Bridgeport … why is this a good place to live?  I tell my kids all the time that you live in a “Hallmark Movie." The sense of community, the “small town feel," opportunity, and spirit of excellence that Bridgeport has is extremely rare.

One – or more – of your favorite memories of something that took place in Bridgeport ...  It happens annually. The Christmas tree light up night is an amazing small town piece of Americana.

What is your favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? Tucker, Randolph, and Pocahontas Counties. I’m a mountain guy.

How about your favorite place outside of WV? Hawaii.

What are some of your favorite things?

Food/restaurant?  Wonder Bar

Favorite color?  Green

Music genre/artist? Christian and Country

What is your best childhood memory? Riding bicycles around Bridgeport with my brother Mike and our friends on summer days. On any given day, we may have played wiffle ball, football, basketball, or played in the woods. Depending on our location at lunchtime, one of our moms would feed the whole crew, and we typically weren’t expected home until dinner time. Bridgeport was a great place to grow up and those summer days were full of adventure.

Interesting fact about you and/or something you would like to add…

I currently serve in the following roles
  • City of Bridgeport Planning Commission
  • Executive Board Member at Jewel City Church
  • Fundraising Lead for both Bridgeport Varsity Soccer Association and Empire FC Football Club
  • Team Manager for the Empire FC Football Club 2006 Girls player pool.
