City Hosting Trio of Easter Events for Kids

The City of Bridgeport is hosting a trio of Easter events in the coming weeks and there is something for kids of all ages.
 
First up is an Easter art class for kids ages 5-9. Kathie Smallridge will instruct the class which will run 6-7 p.m. Tues., March 28 at the Benedum Civic Center. Each student will learn how to make two spring-themed cards, a treat box bunny, and a personalized Easter magnet.  Parents are welcome to stay or drop kids off. Crafts will be sent home after the class. The fee is $10, which includes all supplies. Register by calling 842-8240. Limited spots are available.
 
On Thurs., March 30, the annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the Bridge Sports Complex. Children ages 1-6 will pick up eggs on the outdoor turf behind Citynet Center. The schedule of events is 1:30-2 p.m. photos with the Easter Bunny; 2 p.m. Egg Hunt; 2:15-2:30 p.m. photos with the Easter Bunny and 2:15-3 p.m. open play on the turf and optional craft. The event is free and registration is not necessary.
 
On Wed., April 5, an Easter cookie decorating class – geared for ages 5-12 – will be held 6-7 p.m. at the Benedum Civic Center. Each student will learn the required techniques to decorate four cookie designs and they will leave with the four decorated cookies to enjoy. The class will be instructed by Sweet Events. The cost is $42 which includes all supplies. A $5 sibling discount is offered.
