By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 01, 2025
The City of Bridgeport recently announced the construction is nearing the end phase for the Medbrook Children's Charity Inclusive Playground.
With work at a critical stage and much of the pieces in place, the city has adivised it is imperative that there is no trespassing on the playground. The city said its understands that every child that sees it, wants to play on it. However, due to it being an active construction zone with exposed rebar it could be very dangerous to anyone trying to utilize the playground.
Earlier this week, a pour in place will happen on the surfacing and needed time to cure, or the entire surface of the playground will be in jeopardy.
No trespassing signs have been placed around the playground. The city asks you to respect the barriers and signage to prevent accidents or injuries. They also advise to take advantage of playgrounds currently in service around the city.
