Editor's Note: Replacing infrastructure is an expensive proposition. However, the city began a process that was first discussed last year as the demolition and ultimate replacement of the Center Street Bridge is under way. The seven-figure project is being paid for by the state despite it being a city-owned bridge as part of a state program announced last year.
