Johnson Elementary First Graders Perform "America"

Johnson Elementary School's first grade classes performed the annual "Wee Sing America" presentation Tuesday, May 13 at the school auditorium. Students participated by singing, dancing, reciting historic facts and dressing in red, white and blue. Historic figures like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Lady Liberty were also portrayed.
Songs performed ranged from "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" to "God Bless the USA" and "Take Me Home, Country Roads." The students led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance and The National Anthem. They also asked current and past members of the military to stand for recognition and appreciation.
