By Joe LaRocca on February 22, 2024

In a game that featured 21 lead changes, Preston had the most important one as the Knights survived in a Class AAAA Region I, Section 2 semifinal clash with Bridgeport, winning 51-47 to advance and face University in the sectional title game on Friday.

With the loss, the Indians finish their season at 6-17.

Haylee Pryor hit a 3-pointer later in the fourth to give Bridgeport a 47-45 lead but Preston came right back to take the lead for good on a 3 from Kaylee Wimer.

Kendra Nazlerod had a game-high 15 points to lead Preston which is now 11-12 on the season.

Three BHS players reached double-digits with Reese Pierce leading the way with 13 points. Pryor added 12 and Jaylin Dodd finished with 10.
