Photos: Indian Football Victorious Over Morgantown in Overtime

By Ben Queen on September 07, 2019

Bridgeport High School's 2019 home debut proved to be a positive one as the Indians upended perennial Class AAA power Morgantown by a 17-14 score Friday at Wayne Jamison Field in an overtime classic.

Austin Springer nailed a 30-yard field goal to win it in overtime.

The win moves Bridgeport to 2-0 on the season. Morgantown is off to an 0-2 start after falling at Parkersburg last week.

BHS will look to move to 3-0 next week as it visits Big 10 and Harrison County foe Liberty. Morgantown will play its first home game of the season Friday when it hosts Fort Hill out of Maryland.
