Reserved Red Seats Remain for BHS Football Season

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on August 21, 2025

Bridgeport High School Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Tom Sears has announced that the reserved red Seats for BHS football’s 2025 season remain available.

The seats cost $100 each and are reserved for all home high school football games. This year that will cover seating for five home football games. The cost also helps with the upkeep of the surface at Wayne Jamison Field.

“It goes to our football program for the purpose of helping with the cost of future turf replacement,” said Sears. “We’re probably three to four years away for needing a replacement.”

Sears said impact testing results will soon be available to see how much life the field has left. The next replacement will mark the third time turf will be laid since the grass field was removed.

If interested in purchasing or if you have questions, contact Debbie Wagner at the school 304-326-7137.

Bridgeport’s first home game is Sept. 5 against Heritage High School out of Virginia. They host Philip Barbour Sept. 19, Fort Hill Maryland on Oct. 3, Grafton on Oct. 24, and Fairmont Senior in the regular season finale on Oct. 31.
