SSAC Issues Updated Winter/Spring High School Sports Calendar

According to WV Metro News, The West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission has released a revised winter/spring calendar.
Practice for winter sports will begin Feb. 15 with girls basketball games allowed to start on March 3 and boys basketball games allowed on March 5.
The state swim meet will take place April 20-21. The state wrestling meet is scheduled for April 21-24.
The girls basketball state tournament will be April 27-May 1 and the boys basketball state tournament is scheduled for May 4-8.
Practice for spring sports will begin on March 15.
The state tennis championship will be June 3-5, the state track and field meet will be June 10-12. The state softball tournament is scheduled for June 22-23 and the state baseball tournament is scheduled for June 24-26.
More details are expected to be announced as the start of practice date nears.
