Semifinal Round Set for all Three Classes in High School Football Playoffs

The high school football season in West Virginia is down to 12 schools as six semifinal games will take place this coming week to determine the contestants for the Super Six at Wheeling Island Stadium.
 
In Class AAA, No. 1 Parkersburg South (11-1) will meet No. 4 Hurricane (10-2) at at 1:30 p.m. Saturday .
 
The other side of the bracket is a rematch of last year's state title game as the defending champions and No. 3 seed Martinsburg (10-2) will travel to face No. 2 Huntington (11-1). at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
 
In Class AA, the Big 10 Conference will be represented by No. 6 North Marion (10-2) which will travel to Coal City to face No. 2 Independence (11-0)  at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
 
Also in Class AA, No. 5 Frankfort (11-1) will be at home to battle No. 9 Herbert Hoover (9-2). at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
 
The Class A field will see No. 5 Wheeling Central (10-1) on the road to face No. 1 James Monroe (12-0) at 4 p.m. Friday and No. 11 Doddridge County (10-2) traveling to face No. 2 Williamstown (10-1) at 7:30 pm. Friday in a game that will be played at Stadium Field in Parkersburg.
