State High School Golf Championships to Remain at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 14, 2025

The WVSSAC has announced that Oglebay Resort in Wheeling will serve as the host site for the WVSSAC state golf championship from 2025-2028. The venue has served as the host for the golf championship since 2002.

The decision was made by the WVSSAC Board of Directors during its meeting on April 8, following a competitive bidding process that included proposals from multiple venues across the state.

“The WVSSAC is excited to partner with Oglebay Resort for the state golf championship,” said David Price, WVSSAC Executive Director. “The venue provides a first-class experience for student-athletes, coaches, and spectators.”

The championships will be played on The Jones Course at Speidel Golf Club.
