State Police: Missing Area Woman is Found Deceased

An area woman reported missing on Sunday, March 15, 2026, in Elkins has been found deceased.
On Wednesday, March 25, at approximately Gabriellie L Allen, 64, of Vienna, was found deceased by a private landowner tending to his property. The victim was found adjacent to US Route 219 on private property along an abandoned log road not far from initial search areas.
Next of kin was notified.
She had last been seen shortly after midnight Sunday, at the residence on Rolling Lane. Police were advised that Allen is diagnosed with mental health issues and is currently taking several medications. Personal Belongings of Allen were located along US Route 219.
Multiple agencies including search and rescue teams and K-9 units searched the area, but Allen was not located until Wednesday.
