Less than a month after announcing its westward move on Main Street, SunmoonApparel is opening its new store Saturday with a special event.'
Now located at 136 West Main Street, the boutique will celebrate its grand reopening 12-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14. An indoor beverage station will be hosted by The Groove and handmade peace sign cookies will be provided with each purchase.
As always, SunmoonApparel will feature thrifted, handmade and upcycled items and with the new space comes new inventory.
“I’m just focusing on a sustainable shopping experience,” said owner Kaitlyn Glaspell. “working with locals and non-locals to offer handmade and unique items for your wardrobe!”
Shoppers will find curated hand-picked second-hand fashion as well as special items by The Hippies Daughter (art, macrame, Appalachian gear), Garden Belle Shop (sustainable and ethical fashion), Burnt Cabin Press (hand block printed denim), Earthly Threads (upcycled and hand dyed items), Opal Moon Dyes, and Wild Earth Threads (embroidery), among others.
Accessories include but aren’t limited to Far Out Commodities (crochet headbands), Southern Sage Jewelry (resin floral pieces), Ringing Rocks Mint (crystal wire-wrapped jewelry), and Molly Flower/Butterfly (winged jewelry).
As has been since the beginning of Glaspell’s vision, wellness remains a focus of the boutique. Featured artisans include Mountain Momma Mindfulness (natural soap and shampoo bars), Feraly Rooted Essence (natural herbal face and body products), Hive and Holler (local honey products), and Moon Flower hemp (cannabis).
