During Wednesday's meeting of the Harrison County Commission, Susan Thomas was named as the president of the three-person elected body handling the governmental affairs at the county level.
Thomas was re-elected to the position by a 2-1 vote. Commissioner Patsy Trecost and Thomas voted yes to her appointment. Commissioner David Hinkle voted no.
The term is for one year. It is voted on at the first organizational meeting of each new year.
