Vernon Promoted to Sergeant at Sheriff's Department

Late last month, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department promoted one of its deputies to a new post.
According to Harrison County Sheriff Robert Matheny, Deputy Drew Vernon was promoted. He now serves in the rank of sergeant.
Vernon began his career with Harrison County as a road deputy. After that, he transitioned to becoming a detective.
The oath of office was given by Matheny. Vernon was sworn in to his new post at the department’s Clarksburg Main Street headquarters.
