The Davisson Brothers Band, Brad Paisley Headline 2025 West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame Class

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on February 13, 2025

The 2025 inductees for the West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame has a bit of a local flavor as well as a bit of a national one.

The Davisson Brothers Band from Harrison County, who have been performing for decades to local audiences as well as nationally and internationally, were recently announced as a member of this year’s class.

The group consists of Chris Davisson on lead guitar and slide guitar, Donnie Davisson on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Gerrod Bee on bass guitar and background vocals, and Aaron Register on drums.

Over the years, the group has produced several hits including Jesse James, PO’ Boyz, Mountain High, Home, and Big City Hillbilly.

Joining them in this year’s class is one of the biggest names in country music in Brad Paisley. Paisley is a native of Glen Dale in the Mountain State.

His music resume is impressive. It includes a trio of Grammy Awards, and honors including the American Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, and more.

Among his hits as Whiskey Lullaby, She’s Everything, I’m Gonna Miss Her, We Danced, This is County Music, and more.

Other inductees under the performance genre include Maria Rose and Danny Elswick, Tane Lynne, Russell “Joe” Hall, and Brad Linton. Under the non-performers being inducted are James Clise, Brandon Howershelt, and Daddy Frank Cheseley.

The ceremony is April 5 in Marion County at the Sagebrush Roundup. Click HERE for additional information.
