General Laborer

The City of Bridgeport is accepting applications for a full-time laborer position in the Public Works Department. Qualified applicants should have basic labor skills and knowledge of hand tools and basic construction equipment with the ability to learn quickly. The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes 100% paid Health Insurance (PEIA) for the employee with a very modest premium for family coverage, 100% paid Disability policy, member of WV Retirement System, paid holidays and vacations.   The wage for this position is $14.14/hr.  After successfully completing a one-year probationary period, an increase to $15.46/hr.
