Reports to: The Bridge Operations Manager

Salary: $45,000 - $50,000

Job Summary & Qualifications:

The City of Bridgeport is accepting applications for a full-time, year-round Head Groundskeeper position at The Bridge Sports Complex. This position will have responsibility and oversight of all field maintenance regarding natural grass and artificial turf as well as facility landscaping. The candidate will report to The Bridge Operations Manager. Duties include but are not limited to maintaining a first-class playing facility including all necessary field maintenance and campus landscapes. Duties included, but are not limited to, preparing the sports fields (baseball, soccer, lacrosse, football, etc.), turf maintenance, beautification of campus landscape, edging, snow removal and assisting in setting up equipment for events held at the facility.

Qualifications:

· Two (2) year of experience in turf maintenance with previous experience supervising a field crew a plus.

· Knowledgeable in all aspects of turf maintenance.

· Experience with baseball fields a plus.

· Possess or can obtain WV Pesticide/Herbicide license a plus.
