Job Summary:

Personal trainers are responsible for providing safe and effective fitness programming in one-on-one and small group settings. Individuals holding this position must evaluate and assess client needs/goals, then document program implementation and results. This person must be able to instruct clients on exercise physiology from basic to advanced. This person will have knowledge of all fitness floor policies and be able to communicate to a diverse group of patrons why the policies are in place.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with clients on defining and setting their health/fitness goals.
Provide and track proper physical assessments and evaluations.
Create, implement, and document one-on-one or small group sessions.
Provide fitness education and advice to facility members.
Embody and display world-class customer service.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. College degree in health, fitness, or recreation-related field preferred. Obtain and keep current nationally accredited certification at time of hire. Obtain and maintain current CPR, AED, First Aid credentials at the time of hire. Demonstrate strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Possess the ability to demonstrate complex fitness maneuvers and work with a health-diverse population.
