25th Annual Ride For Life

Saturday, August 15 is the date of 25th Annual/Silver Anniversary “Ride for Life” Dice Run benefitting the American Cancer Society. The Ride is approximately 135 miles long through six beautiful counties in West Virginia including dice-roll stops in Barbour, Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor Counties. Registration is from 10 am – 12 Noon on the 15th at Texas Roadhouse in Clarksburg. All participants will depart at their leisure no later than 12 Noon. The cost is $20 per bike and $10 per rider, which includes breakfast at Texas Roadhouse, snacks along the way, a beautiful ride through country roads, and dinner at Best Western Plus in Bridgeport, along with a band and lots of raffles, not to mention CASH prizes for high and low rolls. If people don’t want to do the ride, they can come to the dinner beginning at 5 pm. There will be a band on stage and many raffles going on at the dinner. A highlight of the evening will be the display with shirts from the previous 25 years displayed in the ballroom during dinner. Co-chair Chrissy Musta says, “Cancer Never Quits, and neither will we.” Funds raised through this and other events for the American Cancer Society are funding life-saving research to “help end cancer as we know it.” Co-chair Cecilia Daugherty said, “There were 648 participants last year, and we are hoping for more this year.” To register for the “Ride For Life” event, come to registration between 10 am and 12 noon at the Texas Roadhouse in Clarksburg.
