Bridgeport Lions Club Chicken Roast

Bridgeport Lions Club is holding a chicken roast on Sat., Sept. 8 at the Bridgeport Middle School parking lot on Johnson Avenue. Club members invite residents to stop by and purchase chicken, ideal for tailgating at the WVU vs. Youngstown State football game, a picnic or just take home. The event begins at 10 a.m. and will be open until the chicken is gone. Chickens are $8 each. All proceeds benefit the Bridgeport/Harrison County community.  Past projects supported by the Bridgeport Lions Club include the purchase of a defibrillator for Bridgeport schools, a college scholarship for a graduating senior, sponsorship of the Challenger Baseball League, sponsorship of the Children’s Vision Rehabilitation Program, and many, many other projects to enrich and enhance the lives of others in our community.
