November is National Novel Writing Month, but if a novel is too daunting, why not try making a zine? What is a zine? A zine is a publication you make that can be about anything! It has roots in science fiction fan communities and punk rock music, but zines encompass any independently published material. In this workshop hosted at the Bridgeport Public Library, you will learn simple book binding techniques, get to look through examples of zines, and get to make zines of your own.
If you're proud of your work and comfortable with it being copied, you can even turn in a copy (it can be anonymous!) at the end of the workshop to be showcased in an upcoming display, but no pressure! That is completely optional.
Registration is required. Please register on the library website: https://www.bplwv.org/event/7341958
