1st Annual Montessori in Bloom Gala April 22 at The Morris Benefitting The Clarksburg Children’s House Montessori School
The Clarksburg Children’s House, a Montessori School located in the Glen Elk neighborhood of Clarksburg, will host its inaugural gala, Montessori in Bloom, on Saturday, April 22 from 6-10PM at The Morris, the area’s newest premier event venue.
For over 15 years, The Clarksburg Children's House (TCCH) has had a significant impact on the community. As the school continues to grow and expand, funds raised from the gala will be used to offer additional scholarships, acquire new classroom materials, and provide competitive compensation for teachers and staff.
“Our 1st Annual Gala aims to gain support from parents, alumni, and community members who share the school's vision and value, securing the school's future for years to come. TCCH is a hidden gem in Clarksburg and a vital part of the city’s history and revitalization,” said TCCH Administrative Director Dawn Woodburn.
“We welcome the public to join us in celebrating with a fun night of dinner, silent auction, music, and dancing,” said Woodburn. The gala is open to the public and will begin at 6PM with dinner provided by Chef Cody Thrasher of Cody’s Restaurant and entertainment provided by The Top Shelf Band, with a silent auction also occurring.
“We have some incredible silent auction items to bid on thanks so very generous donors,” said TCCH Fundraising Chair Kaitlin Walker. “You can expect to see things such as a golf package from Bridgeport Country Club, a cooking class from Hart Kitchen, a house painting package from Cahill Painting, concert tickets from The Robinson Grand, designer handbags, original artwork, photography sessions, area restaurant gift cards, massage and beauty packages, and many other incredible items.”
Whether you have children currently attending, are alumni of the school, or just like to have fun, this event will be a great addition to Clarksburg’s spring event line up. “People in the area often mention the lack of things to do here. This is your opportunity to get dressed up with your friends, check out a beautiful new venue, listen to a great local band, enjoy food from a talented chef, win something from the auction – and all for a good cause,” mentions Walker.
Tickets for the event are $80 each or $550 for a table of 8, which includes two free drink tickets per person upon entrance. Tickets should be purchased online by April 12 at ClarksburgMontessori.com/gala. Donations may be made at the same website, where there is also an option to sponsor a teacher’s ticket to the gala.
All proceeds from this event will support fundraising efforts at The Clarksburg Children’s House Montessori School. TCCH is dedicated to developing each child’s potential and natural love of learning by encouraging the child to take ownership of their learning through imaginative, collaborative, hands-on, self-paced, and joyful work. TCCH is a non-profit 501(c)(3), non-sectarian school that admits all children regardless of race, creed, color, or origin. TCCH offers scholarships to families who need financial assistance, and provides jobs in the heart of Clarksburg, stimulating economic growth and the revitalization of the city.
