Airplane Makes Emergency Landing in Field in Region

The Monongalia County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) confirmed Wednesday afternoon that deputies responded to an emergency aircraft landing in the western part of Monongalia County.
The call reporting the incident was received at approximately 2:44 p.m. MCSO deputies were dispatched immediately and were among the first responders on the scene, coordinating with personnel from various other county agencies. No injuries were reported.
“Our deputies were on scene as first responders along with personnel from other county agencies,’ stated a spokesperson from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office. "Our primary role was securing the area and providing immediate assistance."
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the leading agency responsible for all investigations of this nature.
