WDTV reported that a head-on motor vehicle collision on South Preston Highway Saturday, Feb. 28, killed one person. This according to a Facebook post by the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department Sunday.
According to Preston County 911, two or three people people were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital via HealthNet.
Kingwood VFD says two patients were unconscious and entrapped with a total of six patients involved.
Preston County 911 says Route 26 — South Preston Highway — was shut down at the top of Oaks Hill and was closed for several hours due to the accident.
The West Virginia State Police are currently investigating the accident.
