Bridgeport's Reider Winner of Greater Clarksburg 10K

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on June 29, 2026

A familiar name in Bridgeport running, as well as running statewide and beyond, walked away as the winner of this past weekend’s Cecil Jarvis Greater Clarksburg 10K held Saturday, June 27 in downtown Clarksburg.

Brian Reider took away the top position in the race’s 30th anniversary edition. He finished with a time of 37 minutes, 32 seconds and a pace time of 6 minutes, 3 seconds.

The race was once again held at Veteran’s Memorial Park. For the first 28 years of the race, it was held in downtown Clarksburg, but ongoing roadway that is wrapping up along the racecourse led organizers to find a new course.

Two more runners from Bridgeport were listed in the top 10. Jonathan Thompson finished in sixth place with a time of 40 minutes, 33 seconds, while Parker Muncy posted a time of 41 minutes, 8 seconds to end up in the seventh spot. According to the iplayoutside.com Website, there were 122 runners in the 10K portion of the event.

In the 5K, Bridgeport’s Olivia McBrayer was the top female finisher and the third overall finisher. She posted a time of 20 minutes, 57 seconds, and a pace of 6 minutes, 45 seconds. City resident Presley Cunningham came in the number 10 spots with a time of 26 minutes, 59 seconds, and 8 minutes, 42 second place. There were 53 participants in the 5K, according to iplayoutside.com.
