Editor's Note:For months, the City of Bridgeport was victimized by vehicles being broken into or unlocked vehicles seeing items removed. As it turned out, Bridgeport was not the only area, but the main focus of a crime ring that ended up taking tens of thousands of dollars in items. Eventually, more than 200 vehicles were part of the crime ring and police believe the actual number - those going unreported - was likely closer to 300 before multiple agencies ended up putting a stop to it and announcing arrests were coming. This story ran Nov. 13 on Connect-Bridgeport and was written by Jeff Toquinto.
