One Dead Following Harrison County Vehicle Accident

According to the Harrison County 911 Media Log and multiple media outlets, a person was killed as the result of a two-vehicle accident Friday in Shinnston.
The wreck took place at 4:56 p.m., according to the 911 log. It also took place on Sout Pike Street (U.S. Route 19), which was temporarily closed for over two hours as the result of the wreck. The area in question is past Price Cutter and in the general area of East Chicago Pizza.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, included the West Virginia Medical Examiner. The Shinnston Police Department was joined by the Shinnston and Lumberport Fire Departments, and the Harrison County EMS. Alos, the Grafton detachment of the West Virginia State Police, and the West Virginia Division of Highways were at the scene of accident.
Along with the individual killed, another person was transported for medical treatment. There was no word on their condition.
Shinnston Police are handling the ongoing investigation.
