Photos: Region 10 Band Festival Held in Bridgeport

Multiple high school bands from Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor counties gathered to perform two concert pieces in ranging difficulties to be rated by the adjudicators on a scale of one through five with one being the highest.
Organizers say they hope the festival helps students grow.
“We hope that they can take the adjudicator’s comments, they give us written comments, and they also make a recording. So we play those in class for the students, and we do a reflection on how we play so they can see where we still struggle. But they try to take that knowledge and apply that in their other concert literature, take that into the following school year, and just continue to grow.” Garrett Friend, Site Chairman at Region 10 Band Festival.
The festival took place over two days and the Bridgeport Middle School also served as a site for the middle school bands.
