Video: Celebrating Challenger League's 2025 Season

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 31, 2025

The Bridgeport Division of Challenger League Baseball recently wrapped up yet another spectacular season. This year marked the 22nd anniversary of the branch of Little League Baseball.

Founders Mike and Kim Martin are still going strong with the baseball league that plays its games at the The Bridge Sports and Recreation Complex.

For those not familiar, Challenger League is the division of Little League Baseball that Martin has said is for individuals with physical, mental, or emotional conditions that prevent them from playing in basic Little League. Those participating have autism, are blind or vision-impaired, have cerebral palsy, spina bifida or any number of conditions that prevent them from being able to take part in the other division of Little League. Martin has said the majority of those participating in the Bridgeport division are autistic.

As has been the case for the past few seasons, the league has a season-ending video. The Martin family was kind enough to share it with Connect-Bridgeport and we would like to share it with you. Take a some time to enjoy the video below.
