City Faces in Different Places

Known by Miss Katie to children at her homebased childcare center, Kate Sabatino is loved a lot and shares love in return. This week's City Face - a former Bridgeport High School cheerleader - shares what she loves about her hometown of Bridgeport. 
 
1. How long have you lived in Bridgeport?
I have lived here for over 30 years. We moved here when I was 6.
 
2. Tell me about your family ...
I am married and have four girls: Hallie, Julia,  Audrey and Caroline.
 
3. What about pets?
I have a dog named Millie.
 
4. Where do you work and what do you do?
I provide childcare in my home.
 
5. What are your favorite pasttimes?
I like spending time with my family, going on vacations to the beach, art and reading. And I love watching my children enjoy doing the activities they love! 
 
6. What is your favorite Bridgeport spot?
Hinkle and Deegan Lakes and Bridgeport Pool.
 
7. What do you love about our city?
I love the parks, the schools, restaurants, everything! There is also lots of community support!
 
8. Tell me about some of your favorite memories of living in Bridgeport?
Running through the neighborhoods, playing spotlight, walking to The Pantry store with my friends and many fond memories of BHS  cheerleading. I also loved going to my grandparents' house and having bonfires in their big backyard with my family and cousins!
 
9. What is your favorite West Virginia spot outside of Bridgeport?
Audra State Park.
 
10. What is your favorite spot outside of West Virginia?
Key West, Florida! I lived and worked there for several years. I tholds a very special place in my heart.
 
11. Tell me a few of your favorite things ...
Food and restaurants: Philly cheese steak wrap from Mountaineer Grille; Color - green; Music/artist - Suzie Sabatino!
