City Faces in Different Places

By Julie Perine on August 15, 2021 from City Faces

This week's City Face is Bridgeport's Nathan Price. See where his face is seen and learn about him and his family below!

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? If not a lifelong resident, tell me what brought you here.
I have lived in Harrison County for 26 years, but have lived in Bridgeport for 22 of those years. I am a native of Ripley, WV. During my senior year of high school (1994), my dad’s job transferred to Clarksburg, and my family moved to Quiet Dell in 1995.

Tell me about your family.
My wife, Tricia, and I have been married for 22 years. We have two children: Hannah – a sophomore at Fairmont State University, and Brady – a senior at Bridgeport High School. We have a pug named Ripley, and two cats – Maxon and Charlie.

Where do you work and what do you do there?
I work for Hart Office Solutions in Clarksburg. I am an Office Equipment, IT and Print Management Services Specialists. I manage accounts in 8 counties – Harrison, Barbour, Upshur, Lewis, Doddridge, Taylor, Gilmer and Braxton.

I am also the Leader of Children and Youth Discipleship at Bridgeport United Methodist Church. Tricia and I lead the Youth Ministry (6th-12th Grades).

What are your hobbies/favorite past times?
I enjoy listening to music and researching the history of popular music and artists across all decades. I also enjoy spending time at home with family and friends.

Favorite Bridgeport spot?
My favorite Bridgeport spot would have to be the sanctuary of Bridgeport United Methodist Church. I love to sit and stare at the beautiful stained glass windows and the wooden architecture. I have felt the Holy Spirit there many times, and I am always in awe of how God speaks to me in this special place.

What do you like about Bridgeport…why is this a good place to live?
Bridgeport is a very family oriented town and is a great place to raise a family. I love how the community supports one another whether its service projects such as canned food drives for Shepherd’s Corner or the variety of ways the community supports athletics, music and theater in our schools.

One – or more – of my favorite memories of something that took place in Bridgeport.
Light Up Night is my favorite Bridgeport event. Listening to live Christmas music and visiting with friends, while watching the amazing display of fireworks is something really special. My family looks forward to this night every year.

What is your favorite spot outside of Bridgeport?
The New River Gorge. I conquered my fear of heights by taking our Youth Group zip lining there several years ago. It is a beautiful place to visit, especially in the fall, and I look forward to going there again soon!

What are some of my favorite things?
Food/restaurant? Wonder Bar – steak, baked potato and salad

My Little Cupcake – Funfetti cupcakes are my absolute favorite! Plus, they always make sure my wife has something sweet to eat that’s gluten free!

Favorite color? Green

Music genre/artist? 70s and 80s Dance Music

Favorite holiday? Christmas

TV show/movie? Favorite TV Show: Big Brother/Favorite Movie: Grease

Interesting fact about you and/or something you would like to add…
When I was in high school and college – I was known as DJNATE. I would play music for school dances, wedding receptions, class reunions, and would MC community events. I have since sold all of my DJ equipment and turned in my dancing shoes!
