Bridgeport Physical Therapy Takes Win in Annual ABB Scarecrow Contest

The scarecrows are gone and residents await next year’s Halloween season to see what creative creatures will line our Main Street corridor. The Associated Businesses of Bridgeport thank all who participated in this year’s display and online voting process. More than 3,000 individuals cast votes for their favorite scarecrows.
With 30 percent of the votes – a total of 949 – Bridgeport Physical Therapy’s Tribe cheerleader and football player skeletons outdistanced all other scarecrows. The business will be awarded the traveling trophy at Light Up Night, to take place Thurs. Dec. 5.
In second place was Joe Spadafore’s Allstate Insurance Mayhem-themed scarecrow (409 votes), which took the win in 2018. Riggs Garage & Towing took a strong third place (377 votes).
Any Bridgeport business not affiliated with the ABB is invited to join. Dues, $95 per year, entitles member businesses to take part in activities which the organization sponsors or co-sponsors, inclding the scarecrow display, Light Up Night and National Night Out. The ABB also holds informational networking meetings and a BHS football game tailgate membership drive.
