Music of Tina Turner Showcased in "Forever TINA" During February Show at Robinson Grand

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on January 16, 2023

The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center is excited to welcome Suzette Dorsey’s “Forever TINA” to downtown Clarksburg on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the historic Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center located at 444 W. Pike St. in Clarksburg.

Conceptualized and launched in Philadelphia and South Jersey, “Forever TINA” is an established touring musical stage show inspired by the music of critically acclaimed singer, Tina Turner. Featuring Suzette Dorsey as Tina Turner and a 12-member cast of singers and musicians, “Forever TINA” has performed at a multitude of international venues across the British Isles, Europe, the Middle East, Japan, the United States, and a plethora of casinos, festivals, concerts, and corporate events.

“Tina Turner has sold over 100 million records worldwide,” said Jason A Young, the Robinson Grand’s program manager. “This makes her one of the best-selling artists of all time. Not to mention her 12 Grammy Awards. This show will feature the music of a true legend.”

This show-stopping sonic and visual extravaganza has dazzled audiences from all walks of life, thanks to Suzette Dorsey’s incredible likeness to the bona fide Tina Turner. With energy to spare, “Forever TINA” is one of the most phenomenal stage shows of this generation.

“It’s not something people think about, but a show with this energy in our venue is extra special because of our size,” said Young. “Sure, we have 970 seats, but that is relatively small compared to a lot of concert venues, which is why we don’t have any bad seats and every show feels so intimate.”

“Forever TINA” is a total re-creation of Tina Turner’s exciting, high-energy live concerts; featuring all the classic favorites including “River Deep – Mountain High,”“Private Dancer,”“What’s Love Got to Do with It,”“Proud Mary,”“Let’s Stay Together,”“Better Be Good to Me,”and many more. The show is packed with high energy, color, and excitement with a 12-member cast of dancers, back-up vocalists, and world-class band.

This is Simply the Best and a must-see for all Tina Turner fans.

Tickets for “Forever TINA” start at only $20 and went o sale to Friends of the Robinson Grand on Tuesday and will be available to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 13.

All tickets can be purchased online at tickets.therobinsongrand.com or by calling the Robinson Grand ticketing center at (855) 773-6283.
