Oliver Anthony with Special Guest the Davisson Brothers Band to Perform at Clarksburg Amphitheater

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on March 08, 2025

Country music sensation Oliver Anthony is set to take the stage at the City Parks of Clarksburg Amphitheater on Friday, June 20, for a night of raw, heartfelt, and powerful country music. Joining him as special guests are West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame 2025 inductees, Davisson Brothers Band, promising an unforgettable evening of high-energy performances.

Anthony—born Christopher Anthony Lunsford—has captivated audiences with his deeply personal storytelling, tackling themes from mental health to life’s struggles. His breakout hit, “Rich Men North of Richmond,” made history by debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first artist ever to achieve this feat with no prior chart history. His success has continued with 13 songs simultaneously charting in the Top 50 Digital Song Sales, a record previously only surpassed posthumously by Michael Jackson and Prince.

Fan favorites like “Ain’t Got a Dollar,” “I Want to Go Home,” and “I’ve Got to Get Sober” have all surpassed 20 million streams, solidifying his place as one of country music’s most compelling voices.

The night will also feature the Davisson Brothers Band, a group deeply rooted in West Virginia pride and Appalachian tradition. Having previously rocked the Clarksburg Amphitheater while opening for Chris Janson, the band returns—this time as official inductees into the West Virginia Country Music Hall of Fame. Their unmistakable sound and blue-collar storytelling have earned them a loyal following, and their electrifying stage presence is sure to set the tone for an incredible night.

“First, I want to thank Variety Attractions for helping make this event possible. Oliver Anthony has been at the top of our wish list and pairing him with the Davisson Brothers Band makes this a must-see show,” said Clarksburg Parks Superintendent Doug Comer. “Knowing Chris and Donnie Davisson for years and having watched them play back in the days at The Hole in the Wall in Lost Creek, I can say with certainty—this will be an extraordinary event.”

A portion of the concert proceeds will benefit local miners.
