By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on November 26, 2024

Registrations are rolling in for the 2024 Bridgeport Christmas Parade which takes place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 on Main Street. As is tradition, the parade starts in the vicinity of Oliverio’s Ristorante and proceeds west to the Benedum Civic Center.

Included in the procession will be the Bridgeport High School Marching Band, civic clubs, dance and twirling groups, church floats, athletic teams and other units.

A highlight of the parade is the most famous festive couple, Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will ride atop the Bridgeport Fire Department ladder truck. Following the parade, they will be at the Civic Center for meeting and greeting.

Units can still register by completing a printable form form HERE and returning it to Bridgeport Parks and Recreation at the Benedum Civic Center. Alternatively, you can register online HERE. Once registered, units will be notified of lineup location which will be on Third Street, Grand Avenue, and Fifth Street.

Also taking place on Dec. 7 is the Jingle Bell 5K and the Lions Club Pancake Feed. Read -more HERE. That afternoon, the Winter Wonderland synthetic ice rink – located beside the Bridgeport Pool - will be open 4-6 p.m. for skating. Admission is $5 for children and $10 for adults per hour.
