Time Travel: Old City Hall Building on Main Street and U.S. Senator from Weston Gets 1930's Help from Dog

Look familiar? If not, the location should. This structure along Main Street is the old Bridgeport City Hall building that sits where the current downtown Bridgeport Fire Department building is situated. That building is currently in the final phases of a multi-million dollar makeover. This photo is believed to be from the late 1960s.
This photo, which is part of the West Virginia & Regional History Center, shows U.S. Senator Rush Holt from Lewis County getting some assistance on his typewriter from his dog. The photo is dated between 1930 and 1940.
