Let's Get Fresh: And That's a Wrap

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 13, 2019 from Let’s Get Fresh

Bridgeport Farmers Market

I think we can officially say that fall has arrived. Pumpkins and fall squash are at the market and there is a chill in the air. It’s hard to believe that this Sunday is the LAST outdoor market of season 11 AND of this decade. Crazy, huh??

Our farmers, artisans, and volunteers are definitely feeling worn out from the season. 20+ weeks of harvesting, creating, throwing around tents and weights, and enjoying local foods is winding down – but, fear not! Our winter market starts next month, inside the Bridgeport Conference Center.

Here’s out winter market schedule:

November 10
December 8
January 12
February 9
March 8
April 5

And don’t forget – our winter market hours are 11-2.  The November and December markets are *THE* place to be for the best in local
shopping for all the friends and family on your list. From jams and jellies to local coffee and mugs, you can delight with your gifts!

Enjoy some photos from this season – and be sure to come out Sunday morning to bid some of our farmers a restful winter and a “see you next month” to others. And be sure to dress warm, there is a wind chill warning for the early morning!
