Amended Complaint Stating Further Corruption by City of Bridgeport Filed by Former City Manager Pat Ford

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 09, 2025

Issues involving former City Manager Pat Ford and the City of Bridgeport continue to evolve as Ford filed an amended complaint in his lawsuit against the city.

The document was filed this morning in the office of Harrison County Circuit Clerk Albert Marano. It again focuses on an investigation into corruption allegations going back to when Ford was still city manager. The investigation was done Flannery Georgalis, and in this filing there is an attached list of emails between Attorney William Ihlenfeld with Flannery Georgalis and Ford.

One of the emails alleges several things, and the allegations are also in the filing. They include:
  • Improper favors to influence contracts;
  • Failure to enforce and adhere to bidding specifications;
  • Suspicious bids for major projects;
  • Only select City employees negotiating with certain contractors;
  • Improper communications with contractors during the pre-bid process;
  • Favoritism shown to specific contractors during the pre-bid period.
The investigation has been one of the centerpices of the case since Ford was dismissed by a 5-1 vote at a special meeting of Bridgeport City Council on April 3.

The amended complaint can be found HERE.
