Bridgeport Branch of Clear Mountain Bank Makes Trio of $1,100 Donations to Local Charitable Groups

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 03, 2021

Clear Mountain Bank and the bank’s Harrison County Community Board have partnered to provide a combined $3,300 donation to three local charitable organizations.

At their March meeting, the Harrison County Community Board made a unanimous decision to donate their stipend from that meeting to be split among several local charitable organizations. The bank agreed to match the generous donation made by the community board members. Those organizations have been identified as Clarksburg Mission, Open Heart Ministries, and Health Access, Inc.

The board, comprised of local community leaders from Harrison County, was formed in 2019 to enable the bank to provide the best service it can to the communities it serves. Clear Mountain Bank opened a full-service branch office in the White Oaks section of Bridgeport in October 2018.

“We are very touched by the generosity of the bank’s Harrison County Community Board,” states David Thomas, president and CEO of Clear Mountain Bank. “The purpose of the board is to obtain guidance and advice from long-standing and well-respected leaders of the Harrison County communities so that our bank can become better entrenched in serving the entire Harrison County community. We feel truly blessed to have the support and guidance of such a talented and respected group of community leaders as valued partners of Clear Mountain Bank.

Serving on the internal bank board are James Denny, CPA (chairperson), director of The Rodeheaver Group, PC, Certified Public Accountants; Susan Deniker (past chairperson), an attorney at Steptoe & Johnson; Paul Carvelli, funeral director at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home in Nutter Fort; Reverend Dr. Ken Ramsey, senior pastor at Bridgeport United Methodist Church; Chad Riley, P.E., CEO of The Thrasher Group; and Dustin B. Vincent, P.E., senior project manager at MarkWest Energy Partners.

Clear Mountain Bank is a locally owned and managed community bank that has been serving North Central West Virginia and western Maryland for more than 125 years. The bank provides a comprehensive array of digital and traditional banking products and services to meet the needs of its personal, business, commercial, mortgage and financial planning customers.
