Bridgeport Resident and Area Small Business Owner Roger Lee Matheny Passes Away at Age of 65

Roger Lee Matheny, 65, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019, at his residence in Bridgeport.
 
Roger was born on September 10, 1954, in Clarksburg, WV, a son of Anna Matheny and the late Franklin Matheny.
 
Roger is survived by his wife Shirley Matheny of Bridgeport, WV, as well as his two sons; Jason Matheny of Clarksburg and Joshua Matheny of North Carolina; his brother Mark Matheny and wife Terry of Clarksburg; and his nephew Christopher Matheny of Clarksburg.
 
Roger was a graduate of Victory High School. He was a retired float operator. He worked for AFG Forco Glass and was the owner of RM Construction. Roger liked to keep busy and spent his free time trout fishing and fly-fishing. He was a loving son, husband and father and will be sadly missed.
 
Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Tuesday, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Per his request, cremation services will follow.
