Bridgeport, Shinnston, Fairmont Locations Accepting Donations for Flood-Ravaged Areas of North Carolina

FROM CITY OF BRIDGEPORT OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
 
Donations will be accepted at the following locations starting today Monday, Sept. 30, and Tuesday Oct. 1 for flood relief efforts in North Carolina.
 
The drop off times are noon to 4 p.m. today, Monday, Sept 30, and 8 a.m. to  4 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 1. The dropoff location are The Bridge Sports Complex situated at 400 Forrester Blvd. Bridgeport, the Shinnston Fire Department, 37 Bridge Street. Shinnston, Marion County Rescue Squad, 400 Virginia Ave. Fairmont.
 
Items of urgent need are as follows:
  • Bottled Water
  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Coolers
  • Bleach
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Toilet Paper
  • Diapers
  • Paper Towers
  • Shovels
  • Brooms
  • Gloves
The donations will be driven to Asheville, North Carolina and surrounding areas on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
