By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on September 16, 2020

Editor's Note: Starting Aug. 1 the DHHR switched to just one COVID-19 statistic update per day. The daily reports are scheduled to be released at 10 a.m.

The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources is reporting as of this morning (Wednesday, Sept. 16) at 10 a.m., the total number of COVID-19 cases has increased from 12,976 to 13,196; an increase of 220.

Wednesday's report is showing that the total number of tests given is 493,568 and the percentage of positive cases vs. tests given is at 2.67 percent. The daily percent positive is at 5.61 percent (daily tests/confirmatory test results).

According to the DHHR website, Harrison County's numbers are at 324 (323 confirmed cases, 1 probable case), 68 active cases, and seven deaths with 249 recoveries.
