East of Chicago Pizza Set to Open Jan. 22

If the remainder of interior installations go smoothly, East of Chicago Pizza will open Saturday, Jan. 22 on West Main Street.
It was announced in October that East of Chicago Pizza would be coming to Bridgeport in the building formerly occupied by MPB Print & Sign Super Store, just across the street from Benedum Civic Center. Since then, major renovations have been made to the exterior and interior of the building.
The business is owned by Bridgeport's Jeffrey Chalfant, who also owns and operates East of Chicago in Shinnston. The store is quite popular and it is anticipated that the Bridgeport location will likewise be successful.
The uniqueness of East of Chicago Pizza is its pan pizza, a more prominent deep-dish with marinara sauce on top of toppings, then parmesan cheese added after it's taken out of the oven.
Chalfant said he is 100 percent pleased with the outcome of the Main Street renovations and that it portrays his vision for the new store.
