"Magic and Mentalism Review" - the Champions of Magic - Coming to WVU Creative Arts Center

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on October 09, 2019

SUBMITTED BY WVU ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT

Morgantown – “Magic and Mentalism Review” calls the Champions of Magic “the avengers of magic. See for yourself Friday, Oct. 18, when these five world-class illusionists take the stage at the WVU Creative Arts Center. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 304-293-7469 and 800-745-3000.

The Champions of Magic and their mind-bending theatrical production have been selling out shows across the globe to rave reviews. Audiences will recognize these talented magicians from their appearances on The CW’s “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” NBC’s “Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon,” “The Today Show” and “Access Hollywood Live.”
The cast includes Young & Strange, who have been perfecting their original illusions and magic tricks since they were 8 years old, and Alex Mcaleer whose uncanny ability to tap into the minds of his audience and read their thoughts will amaze patrons of all ages. Kayla Drescher, winner of David Copperfield’s “Search for the Next Great Magician” will impress the audience with ability to levitate objects, and Fernando Velasco will wow patrons with his death-defying escapes.

“When you suspend disbelief and allow yourself to be amazed, magic is mesmerizing. In a world where we all seem to want to know the how and why of everything, it’s a joy to witness things that seem to have no logical explanation, and what’s more, not want one! This is a show that is perfectly paced, with comedy an essential part of the mix,” says “The Hereford Times.”

Tickets start at $39 for the general public and at $24 for WVU Students. Tickets may be purchased at the Creative Arts Center Box Office weekdays from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and any time at ticketmaster.com. WVU Student discounted tickets are limited to one per valid WVU Student ID or offer code.
