“It’s a small refresh remodel, mostly non-structural improvements and restroom upgrades,” said Director of Code Enforcement Ashley Carr in an email response provided by Jones.

Although an exact opening date is unknown, the West Pike Street location opened in the late 1980s or the early 1990s. The restaurant is believed to be the largest restaurant chain in the world and the Clarksburg one having work done on it is also the first one to open shop in Harrison County.

The general contractor on the project is CARMELFJ CO. is the general contractor. Although there is no specific projected completion date, the permit is good for 90 days.

It should be noted that the Subway in question is still open for business as work is taking place.
