Simpson Elementary PTA Returns from Recent State Convention with Multiple Honors and $500 Grant

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 08, 2025

Last month, the Simpson Elementary School PTA received a trio of awards at the 102nd annual West Virginia PTA Convention held in Morgantown.

Simpson’s four PTA officers attended the event. The officers include President Kylie Ebert, Vice President Tiffany Cropp, Treasurer Kristen Winter, and Secretary Elizabeth “Liz” Hall.

The group spent the day networking and sharing ideas with other groups in the state, while also attending workshops to learn more about budgeting, event planning, STEM activities, and advertising with Canva.

During the business meeting, the officers accepted three awards on behalf of Simpson Elementary PTA. The officials received a trophy for having the largest PTA in West Virginia, a certificate for becoming a 100 Club member (100-plus members), and a $500 grant.

The trophy is a traveling trophy and is engraved with Simpson Elementary on it. It will be held at Simpson Elementary School until next year’s meeting.

Editor’s Note:Pictured, with the trophy, from left, are Elizabeth Hall, Tiffany Cropp, Kylie Ebert, and Kristen Winter. Photo courtesy of Simpson Elementary School.
