The calendar of programs for September is available in the library and online. Our regular programs are all back in schedule plus there are loads of movies shown during our weekly matinees.

The Nesting Knitters meet every Wednesday during the month from 10-1 p.m. All those interested in knitting or crochet are invited to attend meetings and share ideas.  Advance and beginning knitters are welcome.  The Colorful Yarns, another craft group, meets on alternate Tuesdays; this month on September 10th and 24th at 6:30 p.m.  Bring your current project to craft with fellow fiber enthusiasts.

The Reading groups are all in session for September.  Book Talk meets on Wednesday, September 18th at 4 p.m.  The book is “Before We Were Yours” by Lisa Wingate.  Read in Red meets on Friday, Sept. 27th at 12 p.m.  Their latest mystery is “Then She Was Gone” by Lisa Jewell.  The newest book club focuses on non-fiction and the selection is “Hillbilly Elegy” by J. D. Vance.  It is scheduled for September 30th at 6 p.m.  Copies of the books are available, but the numbers are limited.  Please ask Joanne or Tyler for copies.

Movie lovers can enjoy films on September 6th at 1 p.m. with “All is True” about Shakespeare’s later years after the Globe Theater burnt.  On Monday, Sept. 9th at 6 p.m., superhero movie fans can watch the latest Avenger film, “Endgame.”

On Friday, September 13th at 1 p.m., “The Professor and the Madman” based on the best seller by Simon Winchester; it is the story about the man who worked on the first edition of the Oxford English Dictionary whose greatest contributor resided in an insane asylum.  And on Monday September 16th at 1 p.m., “Blackbear” will be shown about two Marines and the aftermath of an encounter with Isis.
