Bridgeport’s Kloey Martinez and Reese Pierce have been named to the All-Big 10 Conference girls basketball team as second team selections as selected by the league’s coaches.
Martinez averaged 8.4 points, 9 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.8 blocks per game for the Indians who finished 6-17.
Pierce averaged 8.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.2 steals per contest.
Grafton’s Kenna Keener and Elkins’ Maddie Belan were name co-Big 10 Player of the Year and Grafton’s Hartsell Keener was selected as the Big 10 Coach of the Year.
First-team All-Big 10 players are Grafton’s Hadley Horne, Philip Barbour’s Izzy Knotts, Buckhannon-Upshur’s Alyssa Abel, North Marion’s Brooklyn Jackson, East Fairmont’s Kaylee Haymond, East Fairmont’s Emma Moore, Lewis County’s Ella Pinkney, Lewis County’s Payton Goodwin, Fairmont Senior’s Maliyah Young, Preston’s Bella Miller, Lincoln’s Sadie Adams and East Fairmont’s Kasey Rogers.
Joining Martinez and Pierce as second-team honorees are Elkins’ Emma Gilbert, North Marion’s Savannah Walls, Grafton’s Natalie Beltner, Grafton’s Jazlyn Ray, Robert C. Byrd’s Jada Southerlin, Lewis County’s Bryn Hunt, Philip Barbour’s Finley Carpenter, Lewis County’s Alexis Piggie, Preston’s Kendra Nazelrod and Liberty’s Gabby Forman.
