What’s your favorite movie?
The live-action Aladdin.
 
Who is the best high school athlete you have competed against?
Skylar Yates from Hedgesville (the 2021 state player of the year).
 
Favorite subject in school?
Math.
 
Any pre-match superstitions or rituals?
I always put my water bottle in a certain place on the bench and we pray as a team.
 
What match of your career sticks out the most?
Last year at the state tournament I got to go in as a sophomore.
 
Can you describe Coach Burton in one word?
Competitive.
 
Who’s the funniest player on the BHS volleyball team?
Probably Alexa Martin or Grace Backus.
 
Where’s one place in the world you have never been to that you would like to visit?
Italy.
 
It’s that time of year where there are a lot of cookouts. What is one thing necessary to make it a good cookout?
Ice cream, preferably vanilla.
 
Favorite meal?
Ravioli with red sauce.
 
Favorite pro or college athlete?
I like Jhenna Gabriel from Texas but she just retired.
 
Favorite pro or college team?
University of Texas.
 
The coolest animal at the zoo?
Giraffe.
 
What’s one thing it seems like everybody you know likes but you can’t stand?
Coffee.
 
The best thing on TV right now is?
I like Stranger Things.

What’s your go-to concession stand order?
A blue Gatorade and protein bars are good.
 
How did you end up not playing basketball being the daughter of basketball coach Andy Sorine?
I don’t know. He never really pushed it on me and wanted me to follow my own path.
 
What is the most important thing being an athlete at BHS has taught you?
Being a leader and having a bond with your teammates.
 
There’s a young kid in the community just getting into volleyball what advice do you give him or her?
Watch high school volleyball, you will learn a lot and be confident in yourself, it really helps.
